The main purpose of it is to provide the possibility to enable the clear image perception of an image.
Generally it is not a problem if an image is attached to some hard surface such as a wall or a floor. However, the thing becomes more complicated if the print hangs freely and the light from behind ruins its reception.

The idea behind the design is simple – it must contain some material that is able to absorb the light in order to increase its opacity. Usually, this part has a form of layer of black glue sandwiched between the sheets of plastic foil. The higher the number of layers – the bigger its opacity.

All Ikonos blockouts are vinyl-free. Their composition of the top-quality PET or PP also makes the material highly durable and resistant. They are also free from curling effect which is the big problem with PVC products.
