Printing on polypropylene film is first of all a choice of using eco-friendly material. Secondly the PP film recycles very well. It does not relies harmful substances to the environment and above all it prints great. A while ago we introduced two new polypropylene products. Both of which are very interesting, thanks to their printing properties. However, we described only self-adhesive one so far… Until now.
The name of the hero of this article is Ikonos Profcast PP 140+. It is highly durable material made from Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene. It offers good printing experience resulting in comfortable work with great effects.
Physical structure on molecular level protects it from shrinkage. It has very high resistance thanks to which it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. The high production standards guarantee the quality in all of its volume. There is no space for unpleasant surprises with Ikonos products. This is something everyone will appreciate. Just like the fact that all of our components and products are REACH compliant.
The prints look vivid, sharp and life-like. The material makes ultra high quality images transfer possible. The chemical properties of the coat significantly shorten the dry-time. As a result it allows to achieve great printing effects with lower amount of ink.
PP 140+ comes in 0,914, 1,05, 1,10 and 1,27 meters wide rolls. This wide range of widths makes it suitable for most of the large format inkjets. This format flexibility allows to minimize the material waste. The proper choice of media size to the print job is a key to it.
The eco-friendly character of the film is another value of the product. It allows printing with the eco solvent, LATEX and UV. This makes it safe to the end-users and also for the people who prepare the final product.
It is safe to say that printing on polypropylene film from Ikonos is the best choice one can make. No one likes disruption of the production processes due to media quality. It is costly because of both waste of time and material.
