Such barriers do not affect the contact between sides, thanks to its physical properties. In case of damage it is also easy and cheap to repair.
Transparent, optical-clear PET window does not disrupt the eye-contact. Do not affect sound spreading. However, it effectively blocks any virus carring moisture spreading. The existence of the barrier is also a good reminder of this temporal change to etiquette. During epidemy we do not shake hands, and we keep the distance to people we interact with.
The barrier as such makes the disinfection easy. It can be treated with alcohol or other anti-bacterial sprays with no harm to its physical properties. Polyethylene is very resistant to chemical treatment. This is very important property, especially that these installation will remain with us for a while.
In addition it must be mentioned, that PET based anti-covid-19 barrier makes the construction very light. Therefore, the frame also doesn’t need to be heavy. Thanks to that the whole construction does not represent a risk to people around in case of falling down.
