What is the difference between transparent and translucent foil? Both of the materials let the light to pass through it. However, there is a big difference for the visual effect between the two. The transparent films serve mostly for the protection of a printed surface. On the other hand, the translucent adds an additional effect and therefore they are for completely different purposes by design.
As always the choice of material is determined by the original design and general concept. With transparent media it is really simple.
